This week would see Felin return to league action against a youthful Llanfairpwll team.

Felin were going into the game with several key players missing from this fixtures, excuses varying from wedding commitments, sesh griw Ysgol Dryfan, family getaways and a 2 week sick note. On a plus side this game would also see the return of Tegid and Carwyn Dafydd following a long stint out due to injury.

Kick off under-away and from the get go you could tell it was going to be one of those halves. Both teams having equal possession but were just lacking that final ball. Mark Wyn no doubt busiest of the keepers, kept Felin in the game with some fine saves.

25 minutes in and Felin’s determination finally paid off - a Mark Wyn kick caught Llanfai’s defence off guard, Iw Bonc reacting to the loose ball, dribbling passed the keeper to tap in. 0-1.

A few minutes later and Llanfair should have levelled, a defensive error gifting them the ball in front of goal - only to smash it wide.

Halftime. 0-1. Message was simple from the gaffer - don’t get frustrated and just keep knocking on that door.

Second half and Felin didn't have to wait too long to double their lead. A fantastic through ball from Gruff John found the tidy feet of Iwan Eds who skipped passed the keeper to tap in. 0 - 2.

72 minutes in and and it was Iw Eds turn to return the favour - playing a great ball to Gruff John who wasn’t going to miss this time.0-3.

With nothing to lose Llan pushed for a goal but Felin’s back four remained solid, dealing with the danger and clearing their lines.

With the game as good as won it was time to introduce Cra, Tegid and Carwyn Dafydd to the game. All 3 making an instant impact. With minutes remaining Felin got that 4th goal - a dangerous cross from Carwyn Dafydd ricochet off a Llan’s defender, knocking into his own net....OG.

Final score 0-4.

Wont go down in history as a classic but an away win nonetheless- a massive 3 points and a clean sheet. Next week sees us home to Glan Conwy where we look to make up following our 2-1 defeat last month.
